An amazing trip with Pondicherry and cuddalore bikers club...
I am Aliahamed, i have owned yamaha Fz-s battle green. I am very much interested in bike touring i can travel to many places after owning a bike i felt very happy though i have share my feelings with the bike. My father is a driver he told me about different places and road and his experience that makes me to travel alone in bike. My bike is just 150cc so if i go for a group rides some bikers may travel fast in the group without knowing speed limits of the road so i avoided to ride with group members i can travel every weekends to some places. First time i have decided to travel with group by knowing the admin he said that we can maintain road safety and speed limits so i get ready for the ride.The ride is on 12. July. 2015.
Before the ride day tonight i got call from cuddalore bikers club(CBC) admin that ride has been cancelled due to some of bikers have their personal work. oh shit! then i made a conversation with puducherry bikers club and decided to travel till now only two bikers are available. Aravind and me, he told that one of his friend also coming with one pillion and after that got a call from cuddalore bikers club admin that from there one rider and pillion are also coming. Till now there are four bikers with two pillion and ride has been going to start tomorrow morning.
Bikers: Aravind in Duke 200, Aliahamed in Fz-s, Raja in Cbr 250 with one pillion karthick, Munna in Duke 200 with one pillion Barath.
I wake up and everything packed get ready and went to the destination. Though karthick came from Chennai he is not ready so we went to his home and make him get ready quick and went to cuddalore to pick up Munna from there got some advice from senior bikers.

at 8.00 AM
Till now Destination is unavailable but already planned for Maisnagudi for three days trip via ooty.
In our mind we just have one thing we are going to ride for three days but the destination should be unknown. started from cuddalore in SH 9 travelling in it to reach Highways NH 68 after a 42 kilometer of travel in state highways reaches highways and started travelling towards salem our first pit stop is near salem (20 km near salem) Had some energy drink and discussed about the destination and confirmed that Aravind friend home is in mettupalayam so first we are going there only Aravind, raja and karthick will be friends other three are new to this group so discussed so many things and got very close.
sun is too hot we started our ride too late so we have to move fast our next pit stop will be erode and riding in highways are funny though i am having low cc bike i have to take lead and its new to me and got some responsible too riding in an average speed, signals to the bikers and awesome enjoyment.
After crossing Erode one of our club members are in erode so we wait near toll gate after erode and had some lunch and he arrives in Pulsar 200 NS Madhan we call him as maddy...After a conversation he too joins in our ride till avinashi after that he has to go training in Coimbatore. Again that highway fun starts that always keep as energetic reached avinashi and said bye bye to maddy and started our travel to mettupalayam all of us are very excited and reached mettupalayam and went to Aravind friend home but he is not there and meet their parents and had some fruits and then said bye bye to all now time to ride in hills (Time : 5.30 PM)
Riding into hills of OOTY:Started entering into the hills, I love it entered the iron bridge gateway to the ooty hill and throttle up fresh air wow unable to explain my feeling while riding in that road everyone seeing us ya we wearing riding gears, as every bikers say we look like an Alien #safetymatters. The hairpin bend in that road see my experience cornering and also people there following road rules. we seen four BMW bikes riding in the hill but they filled three times petrol from mettupalayam to ooty we seen them in three petrol bunks
. we reached ooty at 7.45 PM . Now its time to take rest after a 450 KM travel. Barath friend is in ooty he guided us to book room and got a three bed room in a cottage and had a dinner and went to the sleep in that chill weather.
Sightseeing in OOTY:Now its time to go for Doddebetta again a hill ride wow this time so sexy road and cornering gives me more energetic and also chill weather photo shoot wow every bikers will understand my feelings right now, heaven for bikers and then we all visited ooty more times but not in bike we had decided to travel maisnagudi. I read many blogs in xbhp, bcmtouring etc.., every bikers say maisnagudi will be a bikers destination so we started travelling to maisnagudi
Maisnagudi Bikers Heaven:
A 30 KM destination from ooty, the hair pin bend and again an mind blowing scenery. The fearsome roads welcomes us and crossed numerous hair pin bend and stopped near a shop and had ooty special tea and roasted corn and then asked the shop keeper about places to visit in maisnagudi he said that there are no places in maisnagudi to visit now only mudumalai tiger reserve and a river but still we reaches maisnagudi and take some snaps and had lunch at 4.00 PM.
Now its getting late so we have to stay or travel conversation going between us at 4.30 PM. We six decided to travel not to stay in maisnagudi but what is our next destination...
Three places we have choose:
1. Coorg
2. Munnar
3. Wayanad
we all skipped wayanad now two destination are available three saying coorg including me another three saying munnar..
after a serious discussions we choose coorg and we have travel faster its time 4.45 PM we have to travel via three national park and the park gate will be closed at 9.00PM.
Travelling in National park:we started to travel in that roads but roads we too sandy and short we are unable to travel faster after some distance the roads were clear and we saw a welcome board yes it is Welcome to Mudumalai Tiger Reserve. We all excited to see a tiger but bad luck we are unable to see after riding some distance we saw a military persons standing in jeep and clearing the road i don't know why everything is clear here then why especially they clearing and guiding drivers here while turn rounding seen two big elephant near roads wow my first experience to see a wild elephant while travelling in bike and crossed elephant. Travelling in that road in the both side of road seen so many deer and reached Karnataka border after a some more kilometer reached Bandipur Tiger Reserve entered in it. now some vehicles are only travelling and fear enters into me while travelling a elephant or tiger crosses what to do by the god grace we could face any such consequences and seen elephant far away from us but unable to stop there because vehicles could not be stopped in the national park.
After some more kilometer the roads were clear and we saw many people we use gmap for the route so we take the route as after begur we have to divert left. Near Begur we stopped for a pit stop and then asked about the routes and had some hot tea now its 6.15 PM. we started travel and this road will be new so we throttle up and travel as per gmap while travelling we saw a gate in the road and it has been closed and we have shocked and asked a person how to go kodagu he said this is the route but the gate will be closed you can go via another road and showed directions but its is Off-road and no one travelling in the road only three mini van only i saw in that road while travelling. we reached H.d.kotte and started raining heavily my projector headlight is not working only the ring only working oh shit then Aravind takes the lead I'm second raja third and munna in last. After few kilometers my problem solved though raining heavily we stopped at another place after rain again my problem starts now its completely gone again the order will be followed and reached hunsur there dinner most of us were wet we unable to travel so we have to stay in Hunsur.
we booked the cottage and got relaxed and then tomorrow we move to our destination....
Riding in Coorg:we wake up late though all of us were tired now everyone fresh and started travelling to madikeri after a 60 KM travel in state highway we reached the hill road now time for more cornering activities yes i am skilled in it my Fz s proved that lord of streets every time and everyone of my group members really enjoyed it though its drizzling here roads are wet since i have to be alert and first we reached abbey falls and water in that falls are low because now only monsoon started and we take more selfie there and came to a good hotel to have lunch the hotel name itself good not the food we had chapati for lunch due to bad rice and then we have to move now to raja seat and there taken some photos and enjoyed there with peanuts and then its already late now time is 3.15 PM we have to move to cottage and take rest until 12 and then check out and night travel to pondicherry and cuddalore
Munna and the Dog: As the name itself you know munna met with an accident with the sudden crossing of dog, while returning Aravind takes the lead munna will be second me third and raja will be the last. We travelling at the speed of 80 Km/hr. The dog suddenly came across munna bike and he fellow down his riding gears helps him but munna not wearing knee guard so scratches at knee. The helmet visor will be of more scratches ( bikers please wear safety gears) me too going to buy knee guards. Then went to the hospital for first aid now he can even run and ride the bike this all happens due to safety gears if you fell down at 80 km/hr in duke 200 you may thing without safety gears sometimes you may go to heaven that's the importance of safety gears.
Returning to home:
still munna is nervous we decided to stay tonight because munna is injected :p and then morning we wake up and plan is to go KTM showroom in Mysore not for munna bike for Aravind bike his rear disc brake cable will be some fault his rear brake is not working. we reached showroom and asked to repair but unfortunately the spare is not available and he gave us a idea to use oil when it becomes dry you can use it from Mysore we leave at 12.15 PM on 15. July .2015 three days plan to four days. still my headlight is not working only ring light we have to travel faster we have choose the route
wrongly this time too... unfortunately we choose hill route but the road were newly built and many hair pin bend wow trend setting roads we reaches mettur by 6.00 PM. After some energy foods and drinks filled petrol and set to move on this time from mettur Aravind takes the lead me second and munna third and raja as last. After a long travel they have to split on because these three bikes are travelling via cuddalore me via villupuram because this is short for me. I have more riding experience in night so i said i will manage but not without headlight from there i caught a lorry slow moving at 40 km/hr giving a distance of 5-10 meters i am following it till villupuram and from there a van which is even slow moving due to heavy load and then reaches my home safely....
Advice to Bikers: safety is important than money... wear good quality safety gears
soon my IBA Saddlesore or Bun Burner ride blog will be available. I am gonna do your advice please...
